Bringing Color to Life

GloFish® fluorescent fish add an alluring array of brilliant colors to any aquarium. Neither injected with dye nor painted, GloFish get their stunning color from a fluorescence gene, and are best viewed under a blue light.

Just starting out? Here’s what you need to do.

1. Set up your GloFish® Aquarium.
Kit contains aquarium, LED lighting, filter and filter cartridge. Some kits may also include a heater.

2. Add GloFish® brand décor and accessories
such as fluorescent gravel and plants, and ornaments with glowing accents.

3. Add and treat water.
Use Tetra® Water Conditioner and SafeStart® to remove chemicals and establish healthy bacteria. Make sure water is between 72 and 80 degrees.

4. Add GloFish®.
Let GloFish® acclimate to their new aquarium by placing their sealed bag in the tank for 15 to 20 minutes. Next, release them and enjoy the glo show!

Sunlight mode: GloFish and décor dazzle under white and blue LED lights



Moonlight mode: GloFish and Décor fluoresce brilliantly under blue LED lights.


Midnight mode: GloFish Cycle Light Décor changes color, right before your eyes under black LED lights.


Twilight mode: Cycles between Moonlight and Midnight modes.
Adding GloFish® to your existing aquarium?
  1. Add a Tetra blue LED light. GloFish® shine brilliantly under our specially designed lights.
  2. Add décor. Tetra GloFish® décor creates a stunning environment. Some items are fluorescent and are strikingly beautiful under blue light.
  3. Add GloFish®. Let GloFish® acclimate to their new aquarium by placing their sealed bag in the tank for 15 to 20 minutes. Next, release them and enjoy the glo show!
